The Howl is now a Podcast Network!

While we had a great season of podcasting last year, we realized that we wanted to get episodes out in a bit more timely manner. So the Howl is being reinvented as a network of podcasts. We have taken classic segments of our old show and made them their own 5-10min shows. Expect new episodes of “Mr. Cockell Is Old”, the return of “The Howl” as an academic opportunities podcast, introducing “Pack It In” as the student life podcast, and potentially more. We are looking forward to this season and hope that every listener will find something to enjoy.

Episode Three: Health and Holding

Here on the third episode of the Howl we interview Ms. Rice about the HEALS (healthy eating, active living, sports) SHSM, Grant, a member of the grade 11 law class, about his experience at a mock bail trial, and we get a change to educate Mr. Cockell about Akinator the Genie.

Episode Two: Trees and Treats

Hello Huskies! This is our second episode. On this episode we are thrilled to talk to Mr. Cresswell about our hopefully not doomed earth, the students of Humberview and their thoughts and opinions on Halloween in a new segment called "Word on the Street", we get the opportunity to talk to Sheryar, who is a member of the Student Activity Council, to learn about the SAC's upcoming plans for this year and their Halloween events and Mr. Cockell is educated on the trending show Stranger Things.

The Howl Website is now live!

Hello Huskies,

If you are reading this, then you are in on what is thus far not public information.  The website for "The Howl", Humberview's podcast, is now live!

The site is still under significant construction (hence the big picture of me where our logo should be) but feel free to start the conversation, posting suggestions in the comments or emailing us at feedback@humberviewhowl.com.

Hopefully you will be hearing from us very soon.

Episode one is well on its way! It will be coming to a listening device near you very soon!

Mr. Cockell

Episode One: Transports and Touchdowns

Episode One: Transports and Touchdowns

Today on our premiere episode we are delighted to have Mr. Everett, the head of one of the Humberview Secondary School's Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program.  The Transportation SHSM is our first SHSM program and this is the first in our three part series on the exciting certification programs that Humberview offers, so stay tuned!

We also sit down with Ryan, a student member of the Humberview senior football team who is here to tell us a bit about Friday Night Lights.

And finally, Mr. Cockell gets to learn a bit about this "Snapchat" students are all messing around with.
